It's time to wipe and update our servers. This time we have made a really huge step for the project: we have prepared and released a multiworld system, updated the game interfaces and visual style of the project, and even released several music tracks written specifically for LoliLand.
And, of course, we have updated our unique mods: LoliDimensions, LoliUtility, LoliDragonMight, LoliMagically, LoliEnergistics, LoliTechnologies.

Items from the block store

We have switched to a new server architecture, which opens up opportunities for infinite scaling of server capacity.
Now, dimensions and player bases will be handled by a huge cluster of multiple servers, which will practically eliminate lags and will almost always be 20 TPS.
Now, at the beginning of the game, each player or team of players will create their own dimension in which they will survive and build a base. You no longer need to search for a territory or privatize anything — just come in, invite your friends and start the game!
Two types of design can be selected for the measurement: Solar and Lunar plains. This only affects the appearance of the measurement, the solar panels will always work both there and there.
That's all, your dimension is created and automatically captured! To invite friends, click Escape → My Dimensions → Invite friends to my dimension.
You can invite up to 100 people! There are almost no restrictions here.

All servers on the assembly are combined into one. There will be 500+ players on one server at once! And you can communicate and trade with everyone.

The size of the player's dimension is 40 times larger than the size of the territory that he could previously private.
The higher your privilege, the greater your dimension will be. When you purchase a privilege, the dimension boundary automatically expands and remains the same until the next wipe.
Inviting a player to a dimension
Now there are fewer restrictions on the mechanisms, and the drawing on all servers with the multiworld system has been increased to 14x14 chunks.
All privileges, features, and your stats have been transferred to the combined server.
List of players in the dimension
We have been developing and refining the multiworld system for more than six months, there are many interesting technical solutions behind it, and we would like to tell our players a little bit about how it all works.
First, the player connects to our proxy server, which redirects traffic to the game servers. At this point, the balancing system selects the most suitable server for processing the player's measurement.
Due to this, the player's dimension always gets to the least loaded server, and the TPS remains consistently high.
Next, we proceed to download your dimension from S3 storage. S3 is an object storage service that provides industry—leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance. We can store petabytes of data in S3 and they are backed up in different data centers. S3 guarantees 99.999999999% annual reliability.
This means that if we save 1,000,000 player dimensions, data about 1 dimension can be lost once every 100,000 years!
Dimension data is permanently stored in S3, so we always have an image of your dimension that differs from the current one by a maximum of 5 minutes.
Don't worry if the server just crashes, no data will be lost. But for safety reasons and exceptional cases, we still store images of the players' dimensions, which are overwritten every 5 minutes.
The game servers must be rebooted, otherwise they will work poorly.
But thanks to the new system, we managed to make restarts seamless!
Restarting the server no longer kicks the players and lasts only 5-10 seconds. As before, the servers will reboot only 2 times a day: very early in the morning and at night.
All servers switched to the new multi-worlds system on 1.7.10, except for TechnoMagic RPG.
Yes, the transition is planned for the next wipe.
This decision is related not only to the technical aspects of the update (we need to make sure that the system will be fully ready for such loads), but also to the fact that our team of administrators, moderators and developers will have to prepare to work with 2000+ players on the same server, which will be when combining TechnoMagic RPG.
During this wipe, we will try to train the project team to work with such a large online network on one server, prepare the necessary functionality for moderators and make sure that we are technically ready for this transition.
We are confident that multi-worlds are the future of the project, because it allows you to get rid of lags, it is more convenient for players and encourages communication and trading. Any popular multiplayer games come to use such technologies one way or another, when faced with the need to scale.
The game's interface and main menu have been completely updated. We are working on gradually transforming the atmosphere of the game so that LoliLand feels like a unique cubic world.
The main interface has become lighter and more minimalistic, so that nothing superfluous distracts from the game.
Interfaces in a new style with effects and animations also began to appear. Gradually, we will try to extend this new style to the entire game.
New Escape
The HUD is the calling card of the game. This is the first thing a player pays attention to when they log into the game. The player sees these interface elements almost constantly.
Therefore, it was especially important for us to make the HUD aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, unique, reflecting the overall concept and matching our vision of the game's atmosphere.
We settled on a light, airy, minimalistic style with a slight glow.

Due to the new interface, the amount of health and armor is always obvious and can be infinitely scaled. For example, a player can have 100 armor at once, and the new interface will clearly show this.
We rely a lot on animations. A lot of HUD elements were animated: from highlighting a slot to animating particles in health and hunger stripes. Even the color change of the strip from the effects is made smooth!
The crosshair now changes shape when pointing at mobs that can be attacked, and when pointing at functional blocks. It also disappears if the player doesn't look at something for a long time. All for the sake of the principle that the more air on the screen, the better!
The display of the name of the block or mob that the player is currently looking at has also been transformed. And even for this element, nice animations have been added.
The mini-map has also been adapted to the new HUD.
Support has also been added for many items from mods that affect the HUD, such as the Winged tiara and the Mana tablet from Botania.
The LoliDimensions mod has undergone very significant visual changes after integration with the multiworld system. The style became more animated, bright and stylized, the sky, the textures of the earth and grass, trees and foliage were redesigned. The Sun, Moon, and Mysterious planet have become three-dimensional, and now you can even spot a space rabbit on a spaceship in the Lunar world.
